The Hoxton | Hotel Review

The Hoxton | Hotel Review

Hanging out in The Hoxton hallways.

Last weekend I went to London. It was tiring, but good.

OH MAN. THE JOURNEY. First of all, we had decided to go to London as a bit of a spurr of the moment decision, to take photographs and shoot a couple more editorial style photographs. Because of this, we also decided to book an AirBnB, yay for freedom and choice. Sadly, literally 3 hours before our flight, our host cancelled on us. Boo-hoo. Basically, we were freaking a little bit, as you do when you have nowhere to stay in a big city. So, we started scouring all possible routes to get a place to stay over the weekend. Luckily The Hoxton was able to host us for the weekend and were incredibly helpful and  engaging, to make our trip just that bit easier, which you definitely need, every now and then. We arrived late in the evening (around 22.30), upon arrival, The Hoxton's bar was in full swing, which gave the hotel a very welcoming, warm and youthful feel, in the heart of Shoreditch. Apparently this is becoming quite the trendy neighbourhood - and is especially appealing for all those who are looking to show a little gay price! This feeling of warmth and youthfulness continued throughout the hotel - with the dim, but excitingly lit hallways giving off a feeling of intimacy - and kind of like I'd stepped onto a Vogue Editorial shoot set (hence, we attempted something of the sort too, mind you).

The room was gorgeous, clean and classy (hello, velvet curtains!?) - and L A R G E in my opinion, for a room in almost the center of London. Personally, in terms of quality for price, I would 10/10 recommend this hotel - especially if you're looking for a younger, contemporary and hip crowd. Another little attention to detail that I loved, was that you were able to order your breakfast right to your date in the shape of a little care package - by writing on a paper bag you were able to ask for a juice, fruit and some yoghurt that'd be placed right on your porch at your chosen time in the morning. Perfect if you're an early bird, ooooor just a little too late waking up. ;)

What's your favourite hotel in London, have you ever been to London?

Soon - a couple blog posts featuring my outfits during this weekend away.
